Creative Uses of Tables: An Unconventional Layout

In the early days of the internet, table-based layouts were very popular on web pages.

When we write a webpage normally, it looks something like this: block-level elements or long blocks of text tend to span the full width of the page.

If a user enlarges the browser window significantly, reading the page becomes very uncomfortable: after finishing each line, your eyes have to move a long way from right to left.
